Two photo exhibitions - pinhole and lomography

My visual recordings of two exhibitions both about photography, held in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, April 2011 ( I know I should post this earlier...!)

The first one is "Primitive Vision - pinhole photography exhibition", in LCX shopping mall. A very inspirational exhibition curated by a pinhole photographer Martin Cheung, I was invited to visit this exhibition because of my friend Eva (Jau Yau 周遊) ,who is a Swedish blogger (we have never met face to face), I felt very excited when I first saw her work, especially the portrait of Fong Fong, her daughter. It was a very impressive experience indeed.

Another exhibition was held in Times Square. A very interactive, lively and inviting exhibition, yet I felt sorry for the artists for some of their works were being "scribbled" to a level that one can hardly recognize what they originally were.

Impression of Central Taiwan (1) - Motorbikes

在數年前到過台北，那時子女還很小，印象濛糊了。是次到台中，也不過怱怱數天。台中给我的印象是民較純樸，和滿街都是機車手！在香港，騎單車和機車的人不多，主要是年輕人。在台中，各年齡層各性別的人都有，路上曾見過一個媽媽載着三名子女的（當然是超載），也真夠厲害。

其實機車的售價蠻便宜，養車也較輕鬆，泊車亦不難。最重要的是可以隨意到處去，還有各式美美的頭盔可選，不錯不錯！

Treasure hunt in Upper Lascar Row (摩羅上街)

One of the tourist attraction in Hong Kong, famous for selling antiques and indigenous Chinese or local objects. Frankly speaking, I have never buy anything there, but I like to watch how stall keepers and tourists interact and bargain. It is also fun to ponder around the stalls, kinda treasure hunting in a flea market like place!

Cycling in Chinese University of Hong Kong

I love cycling since I was a kid. I love the way I see and taste things on my bike.

I have brought two new bikes last Saturday, Arthur and I rode them in the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a very familiar place to us, and my two kids learnt cycling there :)!

I put my camera in the front basket, to record what we saw on that day. We are amazed because we have visited places that we have never been to, and captured some plants and flowers that I have NEVER seen in my life, I don't even know their names, and they are simply gorgeous.

Last Summer I spent a week visiting my German friends, the Pfeiffer family in Hückeswagen, Germany.

It was an unforgettable experience. My friends live in a rural area, with miles and miles of forests and fields around the house. Many early mornings, I wandered around, without any planned routes in mind. The fresh air cleared my mind, there are always so many things in nature for me to ponder and admire....

Light sweet breeze, hopping wild hare, pasturing cows, gentle sunshine, singing Robins...I can hear God spoke to me, clearly, intimately in these precious, quiet moments of my life.

我和女兒都很喜歡鳥。

女兒是喜歡它們的長相和聲音，我當然也覺得它們美，但更羨慕它們能飛。

這幾只鳥我可不是故意找來拍的，是它們的歌聲讓我放下原有的拍攝對像而把鏡頭轉向它們。在樹下靜靜的看它們們聽它們，它們也偶爾看看我，才發現每一只鳥也有它獨特的個性。

野生的鳥兒多少有點傲氣，它在高處遠處，喜歡就看看你也讓你看看它，不喜歡就拍拍翅膀讓你只有空看樹枝的份兒。自由無價。

Botanical Garden of Christ Church

有人把位於基督城市中心的植物園 (Botanical Garden of Christchurch) 比作英倫的康橋 (Cambridge of England)。

我未到過康橋，不知以上的比喻是否貼切，只覺得這個面積極廣的植物園很寧靜，有參天而造型親厚的古樹，有清澈的小河，河岸滿是白色的小羚蘭，還有一群群很會潛水的野鴨。園內更有大型溫室、兒童遊樂場、供遊人庸懶地閒坐的咖啡室。

花甜草香鳥鳴陽光童聲笑語......時間就輕鬆愉快的靜靜溜走。

與我一樣愛攝影。

兒子剛渡過十一歲生日了。

作為母親的我，仍愛整天抱他親他。我發現他的肩已開始變得寬了，身體也開始發放著「男人味」。我常笑說：「囡囡總是香香的，仔仔總是xx的。」他總會不服氣的否應！

眼看著這個小男孩快要變大男孩了，心情是複雜的。他已不讓我替他剪髮了 (因為不想髮型像某西藏流亡精神領袖)，也開始很有自己的看法和主見了，不再像團麵粉任由我陶塑了。其實這都是正常不過的現象，證明他在健康地成長。

女兒已十四歲了，身高早已超越了我，但跟我還是可以一如以往的親近。當男孩臉上長了鬍子，臉上的輪廓也越見分明時，他是否還願意讓我抱抱和親親呢？那種親密度會打上多少折扣？

開始刻意的要他與爸爸多親近。萬一......假如......一個不小心......冷不防......日後他因發育而與我疏遠了，至少還有與他生理結構上相同的爸爸可以依靠啊！這種近乎「託孤」的想法，其實也是一種自找的折騰。

畢竟，他嬰兒時期的體香，只要一閉上眼，我還能清楚的感受到呀！

Faith as a mustard seed

曾在報章上看到一篇有關一個年僅八歲、在板間房生活的孩子，為幫補生計到處拾荒的報導。

於是帶著相機，走到最多板間房的地區，搜集了一些資料，然後創作了一個關於板間房孩子的繪本，名為《假如我是......》。
